Dr. Deepak Gubbi Shivarathre

Dr. Deepak was a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust in England before moving back to his hometown, Bangalore in India in 2017. He practiced in England for over 14 years and has a comprehensive experience in all aspects of Orthopaedic surgery.

After finishing medical school in Bangalore, Dr Deepak trained in some of the most prestigious institutes in United Kingdom such as The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham and Alderhey Children’s’ Hospital, Liverpool before being appointed as a Consultant at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital at a very young age.

Dr Deepak leads the SPIRE CLINIC group which is team of highly qualified orthopaedic surgeons with international experience and is keen on delivering world class care to all sections of society irrespective of their financial abilities. Throughout his career, Dr Deepak has concentrated on improving the patient's experience in the hospital. A patient-centric care and evidence based approach continues to remain his prime focus.

Dr Deepak has won awards at international conferences including the prestigious Jacques-Duparc award. He has several publications and international presentations. He is on the editorial board for World Journal of Orthopaedics. He was instrumental in establishing a Regional referral centre for metastatic bone disease at Liverpool for the north of England.
