FELLOWSHIP
Arthroplasty Fellowship Lower limb Arthroplasty & Adult reconstruction
(Aug 2014 – Aug 2015)
Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospital
Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen is one of the country’s busiest units with a huge revision arthroplasty burden from the failing metal on metal hip replacements. Apart from independent operating and out-patient clinics, I have gained a lot of experience on the management and teaching front which will stand me in good stead for the future. This fellowship has provided me with an extensive experience in revision hip Arthroplasty and hip arthroscopy, apart from large volume complex primary hip replacements. The job has also refined my clinical skills and knowledge in managing metastatic bone disease and complex trauma including periprosthetic fractures.
FELLOWSHIP
Tumour Fellowship Musculoskeletal Tumours & Arthroplasty
(Apr 2013 – Oct 2013)
Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore
RNOH, Stanmore is one of the premier hospitals in the world of musculoskeletal oncology. The weekly multidisciplinary meeting discussed well over 150 tertiary referrals every week. I gained valuable experience in operative and non-operative management of primary and secondary musculoskeletal tumours. I interacted regularly with the design engineers of custom-made tumour prosthesis. I understand the issues and logistics behind setting up a musculoskeletal tumour unit.
